From private photography sessions to large campaign and film shoots, The VT Ranch offers a versatile rural location.

The property offers:

  • Grand timber barn with chandeliers and high beamed ceilings
  • Sand arena
  • Dressing room with clothing racks and make-up mirror
  • Bathroom facilities
  • Horses for hire, with experienced handlers
  • Buggies to take you to locations around the property

Every shoot is unique, so pricing is tailored to your needs, depending on the number of models and crew, the length of the shoot, and how many horses are involved. Please get in touch with your ideas and we'll put together a quote.

Trail rides

Guided trail rides across more than 100 acres, winding through the rainforest, splashing through creek crossings, out over open paddocks and up to the top of the mountain for views across the valley.

Guided trail ride (intermediate to experienced)

About 1.5 hours, starting with a 15–30 minute lesson in the arena so you can get comfortable on your horse before heading out on the trail.

$140 one rider$120 each for two riders

Beginner lead-line ride

60 minutes, with your horse led by a guide the whole way. Ideal for first-time riders.

$100 one rider$80 each for two riders

Maximum two riders per ride. Call or email to book.

Lessons

Riding lessons

Lessons are available for riders from beginners up, and take place in our fully enclosed sand arena. Our horses are experienced Australian Stock Horse schoolmasters, so riders can learn with confidence. Helmets are provided if needed. Call or email to book.

Stable pony experience

Younger children can join a stable pony experience, with time in the saddle alongside grooming, washing, and leading, a gentle introduction to a day in the life of the horses.

Each session includes:

  • Ridden lesson
  • Groundwork
  • Horse care
  • Games
